TAMSIN

CORRIGAN

OXFORD /

2015 - CURRENT

Primarily working with rustic materials and industrial-based chemical reactions, Tamsin's practice explores materiality, autonomy of the medium and aleatoric aesthetics. Her work focuses on the unseen and overlooked interactions of inanimate objects and physical matter, and looks to redefine the way in which their characteristics are perceived. Exploring ontological approaches of materiality and questioning the relevance of personhood, Tamsin presents the medium by embracing its innate properties, renovating its context and allowing its independent nature to dictate the outcome.
