The project launch exhibition was a light switch moment, revealing the artists' identities to the public and to one another. With works including a performance in chains, a subtly-transformative light piece, poetic prints of a bicycle and ivy leaves, a music composition made from a guitar interacting with a fluorescent light, a canvas saturated with leached rust from the Meelfabriek, and quiet pieces illuminating photo negatives or old slides layered with poetry, the diversity of the group was clear. As their eyes adjusted, the similarites which formed the basis for working together over the coming year began to emerge.
